- The North American International Auto Show
Hosted by Detroit, Michigan—the automotive capital of America—the North American International Auto Show is the place where well-known auto makers show off their stuff. This show is held at the start of each year, in January, so if you attend be sure to pack a jacket!
- Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
If you love cars, but also love golf, heading west to Pebble Beach is a no brainer. The Concours or “parade of vintage vehicles” is held every year on the third Sunday in August. Here, you can lay your eyes on 200 or so collector cars and motorcycles and you may even experience a celebrity sighting!
- The Woodward Dream Cruise
Head on back to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise. This Classic Cars event is held in Motor City on the third Saturday in August with more than 40,000 Classic Cars on display! Whoa! That is a lot of cars! Unrivaled in its size, this car lover’s paradise is the largest single-day automotive event in the world with millions—yes millions—of people in attendance. Mind blown! That is a lot of cars and a lot of people!
- Chicago Auto Show
The title of largest auto show in North America goes to the Chicago Auto Show which yes, beats out Detroit’s show in both size and number of people in attendance. Here, car enthusiasts, consumers and professionals get to feast their eyes at over 1,000 vehicles—which is still a whole lot of cars!
- Tokyo Motor Show
Okay, we lied! This next show isn’t in the United States but we thought it was worth mentioning for those who want to extend their road trip a bit and take to the skies. Located in Tokyo… the Tokyo Motor show is known for its high concentration of concept vehicles over general production cars which makes for some very interesting viewing. While you’re in and around Tokyo be sure to stop in for a bite of sushi. Yum!
